Mary Barnes

She retired after 22 years working for Danville Public Schools, and was formerly employed at Hughes Memorial Home and the Rowan Salisbury School System.

Mary is an active member of Bible Way Cathedral and a community and youth advocate, as well as a life member of the NAACP. In addition, Mary is the founder of Love in Action, vice-president of Mothers Stronger TwoGether, a volunteer with the Danville Police Department, and a member of The Health Collaborative. She is also known to many as “Miss Bunny,” the former owner/operator of a business in the Five Forks area of Danville.
